Hillberry Cottage – great for couples or younger families
Newest to the Holgates family is Hillberry Cottage. Set in the charming village of Yealand Redmayne, this well-appointed self-catering cottage has wonderful views of Farleton Knott and the surrounding countryside near the Lake District. You’ll find a cosy log burner that’s perfect for warming up after a brisk winter’s walk, and when you visit in summer, you’ll find the private garden is the perfect spot for dining al fresco and watching the sunset over the fields.
Hillberry Cottage is ideal for a couple’s getaway – it’s the perfect place to switch off and unwind. If you fancy a change of scene, you have the village pub just a 15-minute walk away, as well as the glorious countryside all around you. Little ones will enjoy the garden and attractions like Cinderbarrow miniature railway are just a few minutes’ drive away.
Cove Cottage – a getaway stay
If your dream holiday is all about walks on the shore then Cove Cottage is perfect. Our self catering cottage near the Lake District is set just moments from Silverdale Cove, the cottage is a great getaway space. It’s got all the things you need for a relaxing break including a pretty, spacious garden complete with an outdoor eating set. Cove Cottage is pet friendly too, so you can bring your furry pal for a nominal supplement and enjoy lovely long walks in the Lancashire countryside.
The Barn – ideal for families, couples, and friends
The Barn is a wonderful space – you’ll find things like a games room to keep older kids entertained, plus you’re just minutes from the fabulous five-star facilities at Silverdale. The Barn has a spacious kitchen and dining zone, perfect for creating a culinary masterpiece together or just enjoying some fish and chips from a local takeaway. There’s outdoor seating for when the weather’s fine, and a cosy log burner for when it’s not. All in all, this beautiful accommodation is a real all-rounder that’s a great base in a beautiful part of the world. The Barn is pet friendly too so all the family can enjoy a break.
The Pepperpot – in the heart of the village
The Pepperpot is a great spot for everyone, but we think it’s especially good for couples or families with older children. It’s set in the heart of Silverdale, moments from the local pub and close to our local restaurants. You’ll find a couple of local shops to explore as well as an interesting gallery just down the road, and of course, you’re just minutes from the shore. The Pepperpot is a great place to come home to after a day out walking and exploring, plus it has its own pretty, private garden that’s an ideal space to relax.
The Knott – a place to enjoy village life
With the same great location as The Pepperpot, The Knott is a great luxury self-catering cottage near the Lake District to enjoy as a family or with friends. You’ll find a garden so you can enjoy meals al fresco, plus the local pub is literally minutes from your door. There’s a handful of shops to explore and a couple of local restaurants for those nights when you don’t fancy cooking. The cottage sleeps 6 and can be booked with The Pepperpot for larger family celebrations.
Hollins Cottage – perfect for a real taste of country life
Part of our working farm, Hollins Cottage is ideal for anyone who wants to step into country life. You’ll experience life on the farm as well as enjoy being in the beautiful countryside. The cottage is super for families and little ones will love the chance to glimpse their favourite farm animals and everyone will enjoy the beautiful walks that are right on the doorstep. There’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and it’s a superb base for a break all year round.
Pier and Tower Cottages – perfect for a great escape
Planning a grand celebration? Our pair of self-catering cottages in Arnside near the Lake District is a great choice. Each cottage sleeps six and there’s plenty of space to get together, as well as space to quietly enjoy the scenery. Pier and Tower Cottages are in the pretty coastal village of Arnside which has a good choice of places to eat as well as cute shops and boutiques to explore. You’re just minutes from the coast and moments from the Lakes.
