Nestled between the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales and the dramatic peaks of the Lake District lies Holgates Cottage Collection, a selection of self-catering holiday cottages that provide the perfect base for exploring this beautiful region of the UK.
Less than an hour’s drive from the South Lakes, our family-run cottages allow easy access to all the natural splendour and adventures the Lake District National Park has to offer. Yet you’ll also discover plenty to see and do right on the doorstep, with quaint villages, nature reserves, and gorgeous stretches of coastline waiting to be explored.
Guests staying at any of our cottages also have complimentary access to our 5* leisure facilities at the Silverdale Park, including swimming pools, gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Whilst there why not also visit the large onsite bar and restaurant or even try your luck at a game of bowling!
Staying in a larger group? The Barn and Cove Lodge, and the Pier and Tower Cottages are both situated next door to each other and can be booked together for larger family getaways.

Arnside
Sleeping up to 6 guests, our Arnside holiday cottages provide comfortable stays in this peaceful seaside village situated just a few miles from the southern tip of the Lake District.
- Pier Cottage and Tower Cottage provide amenities right in the heart of Arnside village. These stylishly decorated cottages each sleep up to 6 guests just moments from the promenade, cafes, pubs and shops.
Silverdale
Our largest collection of Lake District holiday cottages sits in and around the beautiful seaside village of Silverdale.
- The Barn provides a charming stay for 6 guests, complete with a log burner, games room and garden. It sits within a two minute walking distance of the shoreline and our leisure facilities at Silverdale Holiday Park are less than a 5 minute stroll up the road.
- Cove Lodge enjoys an enviable countryside and coastal location sleeping up to 4 guests. It offers a spacious garden, stunning sea views and easy access to local beaches and walking routes. It is two minutes walk away from the beach and the facilities at the Silverdale park are just a few minutes up the road.
- The Pepperpot provides quaint village centre accommodation for 4 people. Guests can enjoy its private garden while being surrounded by cafes, pubs and shops.
- The Knott offers a comfortable cottage sleeping 6 guests with its own private garden to unwind after active days out. It sits just down the road from our Silverdale holiday park and leisure complex, set in the heart of the village, you are very close to all the local shops, pubs and cafes.
- Hollins Cottage offers a real taste of countryside living, set on our own working farm at the foot of Arnside Knott. This rustic yet well-equipped cottage has a farmhouse-style interior and private patio garden.
Yealand Redmayne
For breathtaking views of rural vistas and rolling countryside, choose our cottage in the peaceful village of Yealand Redmayne, right on the edge of the Lake District.
Hillberry Cottage provides a luxurious rural retreat that sleeps up to 4 guests in its own private garden. Surrounded by rolling hills,sweeping fields and views of Farelton Knott, it offers easy access to the Lake District as well as local market towns. The village has a lovely local pub approximately a 15 minutes walk away.
Carnforth
Just 20 minutes south of the Lake District, our Carnforth cottage, based on a working farm, provides a seaside retreat on the Morecambe Bay coastline.
Keer Cottage is the ideal cosy home-from-home, sleeping up to 6 guests. It offers a pretty cottage-style interior and private walled garden. Guests can relax by the log burner after walking the bay’s beaches and coastline.
