The Kent estuary offers the chance to walk along the beach, so if you fancy a more leisurely stroll, stay beside the water and take it all in.

You will also have a chance to see the Arnside Bore, which is a tidal wave that occurs at high tides, when the incoming tides meet resistance from the channels of the bay.

If you love sushi, Thai curries, or pad Thai, then you’re in the right place, and their menu is very reasonably priced. Their dessert offering is impressive too, with dishes such as tapioca pearls and ginger creme brulee.

Ye Olde Fighting Cocks is a historic hotel, and it also has a restaurant downstairs. Located on the promenade, it offers great views, and the choice of fresh homemade food won’t disappoint either.

Arnside Chip Shop

While not technically a pub or a restaurant, we couldn’t end this list without mentioning the Arnside Chip Shop. You can eat in, so we still think it counts!
